Burke Mountain is the best place in the east to learn to ski and ride.
There, we said it. And we'll have words with anyone who disagrees. Words like "more than 50 Olympians", "a lower mountain ideal for learning because Green trails don't cross Blue and Black trails" and "in its first year in existence our freestyle team placed at nationals in Colorado." Words like that.
Being the home mountain of more than 50 Olympic racers from the world-renowned Burke Mountain Academy, we've learned a few things about teaching. Things we take pretty seriously. Not only because we’re grooming the next generation of skiers and riders, but, by teaching them the Burke way–the True North way–we’re also ensuring that at least some part of the future will appreciate Vermont skiing as it should be. So whether it’s your first time on skis or you’re looking to perfect your technique, our professional instructors are passionate about helping you get the most out of your time on the winding trails and glades
