What better way to celebrate coming together again than with music that reflects joy and unity? Music Director candidate Julian Pellicano has chosen a program that commemorates the birth of our nation, champions American orchestral traditions, and offers a wide array of composers and styles that make up the current American musical landscape. The evening includes well-known favorites by Copland, John Williams, and Bernstein, newer works by Nancy Deussen and Quinn Mason. VSO Principal Trombonist Matt Wright is our soloist for the concert, which closes this year with a festive light display in lieu of fireworks.
